Tim Myers
Tim Myers is a writer, songwriter and storyteller. His Dark-Sparkle Tea, a book of bedtime poems, came out in April of 㤎 and won an excellent review from Booklist. His Good Babies came out from Candlewick in September of 㤍 and earned a strong review in Kirkus. Basho and the River Stones (2003) was a Junior Library Guild selection; it also got excellent reviews in the New York Times, Kirkus Reviews, Booklist, Publishers Weekly, and a starred review in School Library Journal. Tanukis Gift (2003) got an excellent review in the New York Times and was a Nick Jr. Magazine "Best Book of the Year," among other honors. Basho and the Fox was read on NPR by Daniel Pinkwater, made the New York Times bestseller list for childrens books, and was a Smithsonian Notable Childrens Book, among other honors.
Tim has 30 years experience as a classroom and university teacher in the States and overseas; he currently teaches at Santa Clara University. Hes been a professional storyteller for 25 yearsis the oldest of eleven childrenand can actually whistle and hum at the same time.
